This hands-on workshop equips clinical research professionals with practical skills to use artificial intelligence (AI) effectively, responsibly, and within organizational guardrails.

Attendees will learn how to define the work product they want to improve, develop effective prompts, evaluate outputs, and apply professional judgment when using AI in clinical research settings. This workshop also addresses practical security and responsible-use considerations, including privacy, confidentiality, human oversight, and compliance requirements. Through guided practice and application activities, attendees will develop a reusable AI workflow and a set of prompts for a recurring task, leaving with a practical tool they can apply immediately in their work.

Technology Requirements: Attendees should have access to a laptop with internet access and an AI tool approved for use in their work environment, such as an enterprise-approved platform, internal AI tool, or other permitted web-based AI tool. The workshop is designed to be tool-agnostic and is not dependent on the interface or capabilities of any single model or vendor. Attendees should follow their organization's privacy, security, and AI-use policies throughout the workshop.
