Ribu Goyal has served as an Institutional Review Board (IRB) Specialist at Mayo Clinic since 2019, combining dual Master of Science degrees in Biomedical Genetics and Medical Sciences with expertise in regulatory oversight and scientific review. As a voting member on multiple Mayo Clinic IRB panels, she oversees enterprise-wide clinical trials and research submissions from more than 150 relying organizations. She is an active member of the Advance Effective Research Ethics Oversight (AEREO) consortium, contributing to national efforts that enhance human research protections and promote best practices. Ribu is also the lead editor of the forthcoming book Human Research Protections and the Research Community: Essential Partnerships in Research Compliance. Her background includes teaching Human Anatomy and Physiology, conducting multidisciplinary research, and supporting international education compliance. At Mayo Clinic, she serves on several institutional committees and actively engages in STEM outreach and community initiatives that advance inclusive research and education.
