Michelle Jenkerson, RN, BS, CCRC, RRT, CPFT is Associate Director, Center for Clinical Studies, overseeing the Clinical Translational Research Unit and supports research compliance, quality, and participant safety across clinical research programs. With extensive experience coordinating and managing NIH-funded, industry-sponsored, and investigator-initiated pediatric and adult clinical trials, she brings expertise in clinical operations, regulatory requirements, and human participant protections. Michelle serves as an IRB member and provides monitoring services for investigator-initiated, single and multi-center clinical studies. She is an adjunct faculty member in Washington University Continuing & Professional Studies, where she developed core coursework for Clinical Research Management degree and certificate programs. A passionate advocate for workforce development, Michelle created the Accelerating Clinical Coordinator Excellence (ACCE) onboarding program and developed a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship for Clinical Research Professionals. As ClinicalTrials.gov Administrator, provides education/guidance on trial registration and results reporting requirements.
