Carolynn Thomas Jones is Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), School of Nursing and Coordinator of the new Clinical Research Management MS, MSN and Post-BS Certificate in Clinical Research Management. She was one of the founding members of the Joint Task Force for Clinical Research Competencies and continues to contribute to JTF working groups. She has over 30 years experience in clinical research across multiple settings and patient groups and has published her collaborative work widely. As a member of the ACTS CRP Taskforce SIG she has contributed to new knowledge about the CRP workforce, including defining team science competencies for CRPs and educational curriculum and accreditation of academic programs. In addition to her faculty role in the CRM Certificate and MSN CRM degree at UAB, she has a clinical research practice with the Mycoses Study Group Education and Research Consortium offering leadership and clinical research development.
