Dr. Sahar Zahid is a physician and graduate student in Clinical Research Management at Arizona State University whose work focuses on AI governance, regulatory oversight, and emerging policy challenges in clinical research and healthcare. Her scholarship examines FDA regulation of AI-enabled medical products, including lifecycle oversight, adaptive algorithms, Predetermined Change Control Plans (PCCPs), and operational challenges surrounding the evaluation and monitoring of AI-based systems. She is particularly interested in the intersection of regulatory science, public health ethics, and clinical research operations, with an emphasis on translating evolving FDA AI frameworks into practical understanding for research professionals.
